For today’s adventure I would like to challenge you to take the time and give thanks. A simple gesture that has the power to move others and make you feel so good. I went around my city and gave people the opportunity to reflect on what they were grateful for. These were their responses:

There is something magical about writing your wish in a piece of paper and then launching it to the sky. Today I wanted to give strangers the possibility of doing just that.
Read MoreAdventure number 4: looking for street art (collective update)
A few weeks ago I launched the 'Adventure number 4: looking for street art' mainly because Olivia wanted to see street art from around the world. We had an amazing response and I couldn't be more happy to show you the pictures that have arrived:
Read MoreAdventure number 8: the disposable camera experiment
Digital cameras are great, no doubt about it. When you have a kid moving constantly you want to be able to take 20 pictures to get that perfect one. But digital cameras have robbed us of something: the surprise factor. Remember those trips to the photo printer shops? The expectation and the waiting and, over all, the joy when a perfect picture appeared among those 24. This adventure is all about recreating that feeling. My friend Elisa and I bought a disposable camera, took it to a local park and left it on a bench.

One of the things I like the most of Olivia’s school is that they have an entire subject dedicated to creative writing. Every two weeks she comes back home with the sweetest little books, made entirely by her, from the plot to the illustrations and the cover. What about your kids? Do they like to invent stories? If so, this is the perfect adventure for them.

Read MoreAdventure number 4: looking for street art
I love finding art along the streets. Don´t get me wrong, if there is something that drives me mad it is finding an old building ruined by a silly gang tag. But discovering nice, clever art pieces on temporary walls or finding cute things like yarn bombed areas always makes my day.

Olivia´s dream has always been to be able to fly. No planes, no helicopters, ‘just me flying’ she’d constantly say. That was one of the reasons that made me sign her and Matilde up to Circus School.
Read MoreTeach a Talent: Alexia, Eric and the wonderful children of Xai-Xai
One of my dreams with Teach a Talent is to connect children from all over the world. I love that nowadays, thanks to technology, a kid in America can spend a bit of time with a kid from Africa. It is a terribly enrichment experience for both of them, one that shortens distances while opening their eyes to different cultures. This experience is now possible thanks to our volunteers Alexia and Eric. They work at Kanhimambo, in Mozambique, giving smiles to the children of Xai Xai. And they want your kids to spend some time with these children.

In my work with Creativity Hospital I go to schools and kids clubs to teach children creativity thinking techniques. We use a huge range of activities and tools to help them have more and better ideas and we teach them how to increase their innate creativity. Among these techniques one of my favourites is painting the music.

When I joined Instagram I did it just to have a visual diary of the girls. Little did I know of the amazing community of moms that I was going to meet there. Moms that live in different continents and time zones, but that feel so close to me anyway. Everyday we share our ups and downs, we celebrate birthdays and successes or we worry when one of our kids get sick. It is an incredible feeling and I am so grateful to all of them. Some of these moms wanted to create a book club, so here it is.

Seven months ago I was invited to talk at TEDx about the need for a change in the education system. I took that opportunity to launch an idea that had been in my head for a while: to create a network of volunteers willing to share their passions with children, for free. A way for adults to spread their knowledge and for kids to learn new skills and discover their talents. This is how Teach a Talent was born.
Read MoreAdventure number 1: Leave your travel advice inside a guide
How much better is it to explore a new city with someone that knows it well? Being able to visit those hidden gems that are normally only known to locals is a completely different experience from wandering around a town with just an average travel guide. That is exactly what today’s adventure is about.
Read MoreWelcome!
This adventure starts in Madrid, where home is now. I live here with my two daughters: Olivia (6) and Matilde (4). We arrived two years ago. Before that I spent more than 15 years abroad, living in other cities like Milan or London so, in a way, Spain is new for me too. I originally come from Galicia (in the north west of Spain) and I didn’t know how life in Madrid was going to be before moving here.
